Even the vets who been around for 5-6 years doing less than 100k and no hit singles.
What vets are you speaking of? Not everyone is going to keep rising.

I don’t think yall realize rap isnt crossing over like it has in the past because of streaming and white people taste changing

I don’t give a fukk what you listen to at all my nikka.

I’m talking about ME and what I like. I still bump his old music though. I can’t listen to this.

And Benito makes great music. He actually matures each album and has substance 🙌🏽

My nikka, you made a general statement about 40 year olds listening to uzi, unless I misread your post. Maybe you should be clear and add that "FOR ME"

These guys aren’t fans of rap music, I don’t know how you can complain about music in 2025. There’s plenty of output no matter what your taste are

Females haven’t been flopping. First week sales are irrelevant for new artist,

This is a fact

My favorite albums this year are Lloyd Banks, Vinnie Paz, MIKE, EST Gee, 2chainz and Larry June and Big Moochie grapes deluxe.

Though I admit I have still been playing MAVI shadowbox a lot from last year too

It’s a lot of great hip hop out. Clipse was dope, Drake and party album was good too.

This thread is funny because when new artists are posted in this forum it’s always the same small group of posters talking about them.

Be real most of so called rap fans don’t like rap :yeshrug: They only like their idea of what it’s supposed to be. Motherfukkers complain about everything and are the first ones in arms screaming how whack shyt is but never when good things occur. Never supporting shyt.

fukk it it is what it is at this point. We’re too far gone.

There’s a thread from some dude on here legit complaining about the two or three posters that actually post new music because it gets in the way of the threads about the gossipy bullshyt that dominate the board :mjlol:

They spent a decade or more trying to appeal to every suburban white girl in America only for the white girls to hop on a pop/country wave and leave female dominated rap behind.

This is a good thing in many ways.

Music in general for alotta genres have a low point of entry these days but hip hop is the worst wit that. U barely have to have talent at all so people aren't really investing into like before. The only reason this should matter to anyone tho is if they only listen to hip hop because it's popular. For someone like me who truly loves this shyt it doesn't really phase me.

Facts

Like what difference does it make that raps songs are dominating the top on the billboard 100?

Streaming has become a self fulfilling procephy atp, where the algorithm prefers artist that are the most listened too which makes it hard for new artist to breakthrough on playlist and radio unless a song goes viral

sometimes I hear songs that were common place from 20-30 years ago, and I feel like if they were dropped today people would be blown away by the right artist

for example
