Didn't tune in. VMA's have always been corny and always clings to controversy all while doing the most to the most extreme of extremes. No awards show is cornier and I don't think anyone has taken a moonman as a badge of honor. It has always been a bottom of the barrel show overall. Yes, it had its moments in the 90's, but in parts.
