I was gone by then. but i used to slide thru every now and then. But most of GGC was wiped out by jail, shot up, or finally got out of town and left. Those cats were constantly talking about how they were about to leave and stop bangin/slangin. i still remember when some other hood rolled on them like crazy. i heard the tech9 go off. bllllllllaat... them ggc dudes were crying like babies. "awww man i gotta move cuzzz, i'm tired of this ishhhh cuzzz, i gotta move.....". then the idiots , "Get da heat nucca, get the da heat..." its like 20 of them fools standing around/hanging/bangin and slangin. and no one had heat on them. pathetic. if you aint ready for the street life, get off the streets. i never understood it and i never banged or sold dope a day in my life. Nuccas so broke over there sharing a gun. come on now. But thats why i tell people who dont understand that gang life. most gangstas are not shooters. Especially back in those days. most nuccas were put on for multiple reasons. mostly cause you hung around that block or you lived on the block. or you went to school with dem dudes and possibly some other hood was punking you so you had to squad up or so you felt. nuccas wasnt joining gangs to shoot up other nuccas. at least not most of them. then once that drug game hit. that turned it into a complete war zone + gang nonsense to boot. a lot of them gang dudes were soft as pillows. which is why they were in a gang to begin with. usually the dude doing all of the killin is a half crazy dude to begin with or some kid that was probably riding the short bus when he did go to school. no lie.
i'll say this again. i've had personal up close experience with all types of latins. from mexico thru central america. and for the most part the experience i had with them was very positive. and i'm not just talking kids my age. their parents treated me well. i didnt catch that slight from them either. i had asian homies too. i did catch that early asian slight from them early on until they realized "oh he's smart. he's different." i didnt deal with that with the latins.
now did i see that latin cism from latin gang members?YEP. The people running blacks out of hoods were gangstas, not random hispanics. see you have to realize blacks in these areas know what it is. good or bad. i grew up in the era of race riots in school. blacks vs hispanics(mostly). dont know who started them and dont know who finished them. lol. So you aint saying nothing. no one is sleeping on anything. every black person that lives around a lot of hispanics knows some are racist and some are extra cool like family. i have latins get my back on a many of occasion when some so called black homies were shook and standing around.
so again, thats my personal experience. no where did i say i dont think they arent racist. cause i know they have told me how racist they can be in their home countries. i didnt know anything about that. only another latin could tell you how lighter skinned(white passing) latins are treating darker skin and even afro latins.
So with that said let me use the example again. unless you have some hispanics that are you close friends, that you trust. if you are a black owned business and you can hire a black, white, asian, hispanic person. you should hire the black person even if he/she has less experience. i didnt use to think like this.but i grew up and realized what it is out chea in these streets. its a RACE. and every other group knows this except for black folks. Take care of your own FIRST. then you can play nice with everyone else. you dont to be racist to other people for you to do that. just tell them, "i'm doing the same thing that your people do."
