Supposedly this occurs when the CPU is being taxed. Haven't seen it yet but now I'm on the lookout :heh:

Apple Inc is investigating an accident in which a Chinese woman was killed by an electric shock when answering a call on her iPhone 5 while it was charging, the U.S. technology company said on Monday.

Last Thursday, Ma Ailun, a 23-year-old woman from China's western Xinjiang region and a flight attendant with China Southern Airlines, was electrocuted when she took a call on the charging mobile telephone, the official Xinhua news agency quoted police as saying on Sunday.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our condolences to the Ma family. We will fully investigate and cooperate with authorities in this matter," Apple said in an e-mail.

Apple declined to comment on details, such as whether this was an isolated case.

Ma's sister tweeted on Sina's microblog saying that Ma collapsed and died after using her charging iPhone 5 and urged users to be careful, a message that went viral on the site.

In April, Apple apologized to Chinese consumers and altered iPhone warranty policies in its second-biggest market after its after-sales service suffered more more than two weeks of condemnation by the state-run media.

Charred: Wu Wenyuan's body was covered in burn marks

"Wu Weyuan, an 18-year-old student from Korla, in the Chinese province of Xinjiang, was discovered by her sister, who noticed a burning smell when she came home from work.

She found Wu lying in bed, her skin black and charred with burns and a broken iPhone 4S next to her body. She was not breathing, and the screen on the iPhone had smashed, according to Asian Heart News.

Ms Wu's Aunt told reporters her niece had moved to Korla to study, and lived with her sister who worked in the city.

An autopsy found Wu had electrocution marks on her neck, hands and left foot.Police concluded the cause of death was electrical "leakage" from the phone, causing electrocution.

Her sister said she bought the phone from a shop in her home town of Urumqi.

The shop are reportedly in contact with the family, and are "negotiating to resolve the matter"

Apple are expected to launch the iPhone 6 in mid-September, ahead of a release date on October 14th."

The next generation smartphone is expected to be available with 4.7 or 5.5inch screens, and an upgraded camera.

Now find any credible, legitimate reports of any Samsung Note 7 or any other Samsung phone that has actually killed someone!

Don't worry, I'll wait! :sas1:
1st story
Mixing smartphones with water is another safety concern. Ma's family said online that she left the bath to answer the phone. Water is an excellent conductor of electricity, and moisture on the skin can lower a person's natural resistance to electric shock, experts say.

2nd story
In August, Chinese media reported a teenager was electrocuted when she plugged her iPhone into an unofficial charger.

Bullshyt! Millions of people use, travel & work with smartphones everyday in wet weather conditions, yet there are no reports of any incidents what so ever regarding any Samsung smartphone causing this problem.

:heh:

So you're telling me with well over a billion Samsung phones sold worldwide that no one has ever accidentally dropped their phone into a bathtub or sink while it's charging or has used an "unofficial" charger not specifically made by Samsung? And where are the similar deaths reports from other people worldwide who use smartphones by other Android manufacturers?

Oh & by the way, here are a few more iPhone deaths which show the same pattern of incident below. :sas1:

Woman, 24, is electrocuted after dropping charging iPhone in bath

While taking a bath, a young Russian woman was looking at a social media site on her iPhone and accidentally dropped it into the bathtub, electrocuting herself. It was discovered that the iPhone was plugged into its charger at the time. Miss Sviridenko's death comes just a few days after a 16-year-old girl from Russia's Bashkortostan Republic died after taking her iPhone while it was charging into the shower with her.

Of course you can use your phone in the rain but not while it's charging.

Look here breh, since you're so sure about the safety of Samsung phones why don't post a video of you placing your phone in a bowl of water while it's plugged into a live outlet and not getting electrocuted.

You say use common sense but it doesn't get more common than knowing water and electricity don't mix. I think I learned that when I was like 3 or some shyt.

It's too bad your former pre-school education isn't really helping you much now.:lolbron:

So let me make this a little easier for you. Again, all you have to do is show some reported examples of people that have actually died from the billions of Samsung smartphones that have sold worldwide similar to the deaths that have occurred with Apple iPhones.
