I remember watching an interview where Chris Jericho was talking about WrestleMania 29. He didn't want to face Fandango and suggested that he face Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship. The storyline would be Jericho going for his tenth IC title reign, and there would be a connection since Jericho was Barrett's pro on NXT.

Johnny Knoxville entered the Royal Rumble match with one goal in mind. He wanted to win and earn a spot at WrestleMania. The Jackass star lost that match, but he’s still getting a title shot on the grandest stage of them all.
Knoxville and Sami Zayn are in a feud and that isn’t stopping. Johnny even raided WWE’s LA pop-up shop to destroy some Zayn merchandise. The fact that Zayn’s new t-shirt is a Jackass Forever parody isn’t lost on anyone either.
Spoiler: Sami Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship from Shinsuke Nakamura. That match will air on next week’s SmackDown and you can click here for all hose spoilers.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that it “looks like Johnny Knoxville” will get an IC Title shot at the show of shows. This will obviously be a marquee match given Knoxville’s popularity.
This booking also proves how much value WWE places on Sami Zayn. He worked with Logan Paul at last year’s WrestleMania and he’s interacted with tons of other celebrities on-screen. The fact that WWE keeps putting him in these positions should not be lost on anyone. It should also be a pretty fun match for WrestleMania.
