Idk who mixed / engineered this but that was the downfall of this track

It's funny I played this the other day in the car with my girl and she was like "why this shyt sound like it's on cassette" :dead:

Very confusing how it ended up like this because babyface is known to have a very high standard for anything he's involved in

I’m thinking Kanye got them stems back and tried to rerock or label politics limboed the progress and they released it. I would have to do some research on where Kanye was at
this time the answers probly there.
:yeshrug:
Could even be a turn of some form of technology

It is weird cause structurally this is a great Wayne song and he shouted Ye out so they had something at one point. Definitely buried history

Also I think some of y’all aren’t using context. Some of these songs were ideal with what was dropping around the same time

This dropped after 50’s candy shop was very successful. You’d def be fired
I didn't like candy shop either so yeah :dead:

Even more confusing is that lollipop was the LEAD SINGLE for carter 3, a milli would've been the lead if I had the reins, and wayne said a milli went so crazy when it leaked that he had no choice but to shoot a video, re-record and making it the 2nd single, it is what it is tho it worked out for him :yeshrug:

This is true but I think a lot of people are just answering with songs that they personally don't like or think that that rapper's audience wouldn't like.

probably “humble” by Kendrick if I was an a&r I would’ve told him to not have drop it because people would’ve thought it was too corny.

Absolutely hated this song but people loved it. I would be sitting down sarcastically doing the dance waiting for it to go off but during its peak this shyt would get played 2-3 times at the party/club

Awful song but a huge hit
