How do we even know thats true first off. Everyone's pay increases at Mania anyway. Yall sitting here and acting like Rock and or Shaq just got a boatload of money thrown at them. And act like the roster is not eating in some fashion in the first place.

Its just a lame argument all the way around. Its not all about money with Rock. Even a guy like Shaq. Who was delighted to be out there as a fan. They weren't doing it for paychecks.

Everything doesn't revolve around money. Thats my point. And no I am not saying that they did it for free. No one should be working for free.

The whole thing is bullshyt and Bret is just being bitter for the sake of it. If hes gonna throw Rock under the bus for that, he should've did the same for Austin and company too.

I t was reported that Rock got something like 3 million for each of his matches against Cena and most likely a oercentage of the gate and whatever PPV buys it did. I know he didn't get that for this years but is it out of the realm of possibility that he got a million flat for 3 minutes of work?

Also wasn't it reported that movie studios want him nowhere near a WWE ring for fear of injury? If that's the case you know damn well he ain't doing that shyt for free.

The excuse of "he might just love wrestling" is some bullshyt :russ: You could use that for HBK, Stone Cold and Mankind but damn sure not Rock. Oh and why would Bret bytch about HBK or Stone Cold being on this Mania when THEY'RE BOTH FROM TEXAS :stopitslime:.

No problem with what Rock got during that run. He was doing a lot for the company in terms of business and was actually competing when scheduled. WWE ate off of that. Alot of the roster got good bonuses. And some of his side runs (Punk/Miz/Truth) did as well. And of course his partner in crime, Cena got in just as much. But no way in hell WWE gave dude a flat million for this past week. He got paid just like everyone else in his lane. It was a pretty good premium. But it would be in line with HHH, Cena, Austin, Reigns and others. The mentality that Bret, yourself, and anyone else that agrees with him is giving off that "Rock is walking in and just getting a boatload of money over everyone else" is stupid.

Its not an excuse to say hes doing it for the love of wrestling. He is. This is the shyt Im talking about. Everyone gives other past stars a free pass but because of Rock's stature and status, its always a so called money motive. He has love for wrestling as well people.

If he didn't. He wouldn't be around. He'd be out like he was for 7 years. If anything, Rock still going back and doing things at the EXPENSE of movie studios is proof of that. Not money. Hes wasting hollywoods time. He got his ass chewed out by directors for getting hurt when he was wrestling a few years ago. Its one of the reasons why they have this insurance hold on him now. Hes valuable to them but hes doing things that puts him at risk. Rock doesn't care about that, and still wants to get away from hollywood, go back and enjoy the life of his previous line of work. If only for a night. Dude is putting forth the effort to do SOMETHING when he doesn't even have to anymore. Its harmless. Im not saying hes doing it for FREE. Im saying that people crying that Rock is only doing it for money or getting big bucks is bullshyt and dumb as hell.Bret not throwing his other buddies under the bus has nothing to do with them being from Texas and everything to do with him not thinking clearly and being bias.

SMH at you. No need for insults.

This is a forum. So I will use it as such.

Not surprised thats all you got though. There wasn't anything wrong with what I said.

Bret was bias here. Nothing much more to it than that.

Isn't 85% of wrestling choreographed. :ld:

Its predetermined and certain spots are planned but the match itself isn't. There are some wrestlers who do that (Savage was one of the first), but for the most part the heel leads and it goes from therw. Thats why you can catch them talking in the ring at times, because theyre telling each other what comes next.

Still considered choreograph.

If you say so, but IMO sitting down and talking about something is completely different than actually getting in the ring and going through the whole match... basically practicing so to speak.

Savage and Steamboat got in the ring numerous times to practice their match at Wrestlemania 3, Bret Hart had the whole Bulldog match at Summerslam planned out in his head, got to Webley Stadium and walked him through it and then called the match in ring without any practice.

Both matches are considered five star matches...and you consider both of those choreographed?
