IGN teases Square Enix “secret title” E3 party
by Sal Romano at 08:52 PM EDT, June 1, 2015.
Is it Hitman? We think it's Hitman.
Square Enix is hosting a press conference at E3 this year. It will be held at 10 a.m. PDT on June 16. Sometime during E3 week, IGN Events is hosting a party with Square Enix for one of the conference’s “secret titles.” And today IGN posted an image of the event invitation, which shows the Atlantic Ocean, with various countries across the globe blurred.

Given the background of the official Hitman website, we imagine this is very likely the next Hitman game, which Io Interactive has been very open about being in development.

Stay tuned.

It was the worst reviewed game of the series, they pulled the ol switch and bait, after the 4th mission and it became an action game with a cheesy b movie storyline.
I noticed that too. The first few missions were all stealth and investigative type missions and then it quickly became gears of war run and gun.

New Hitman appears on PlayStation Store
by Sal Romano at 07:51 PM EDT, June 15, 2015.
New Hitman leaked ahead of E3 announcement.

A listing for an unannounced Hitman game has appeared on the UK PlayStation Store.

The game is available for digital pre-order on the store for release on December 8. Pre-orders include a Hitman static PlayStation 4 theme.

Here’s the PlayStation Store’s description:

There is a world beyond ours. Beyond nations, justice, ethics. It never sleeps. It exists everywhere. And once you enter….there is no going back. Welcome to the World of Assassination. You are Agent 47, the world’s ultimate assassin. Backed by your long term handler, Diana Burnwood and the power of the International Contract Agency you operate on all continents across the globe to unravel a conspiracy originating from the highest echelons of the world’s power elite.

Square Enix is expected to officially announce the game during its E3 press conference tomorrow.

Thanks, @Wario64.

Square Enix announced the latest entry in its Hitman series during the Sony E3 2015 press conference this evening. It’s simply titled Hitman.

The game was leaked just over an hour prior.

The beta will be available first on PlayStation, as well as well as six unique in-game contracts.

E3 2015: Hitman Details Released
By Jeremy Peeples on June 16, 2015
Square-Enix revealed some big details about the simply-titled Hitman. Every NPC has a name now, and every room matters. You’ll have the freedom to kill anyone you want in any way you so desire. Brute force is doable, or you can orchestrate a masterpiece of assassination. There will be user-created contracts as well, giving the game a potentially-unlimited replay value over its lifetime. Mastering stages unlocks new abilities and new locations. Some targets will only be made available at small intervals, and when they’re dead, they’re dead forever. Hitman will be released on December 8.
