Condom use is very low among people at lower socioeconomic levels - which is where many black people dwell. Not surprising that HIV is rising. That being said...percentage wise, it's unlikely that someone would contract HIV via vaginal sex. It can happen obviously, but overall the disease is spread more via blood. The issue is not that HIV/AIDS is a "gay disease." It's transmitted largely through blood. The highest risk % for contracting AIDS is via blood transfusion (90%+) and childbirth (25-30%). Anal sex is about a 5% risk, which is significantly higher than man-woman unprotected contact.
The problem with this thread, beyond the homophobia, is a general misunderstanding of the disease. You increase your chances of contracting HIV/AIDS when you have STDs and genital ulcers. A black woman contracting AIDS does not mean a gay nikka gave it to her. It could mean she's had multiple STDs, her partner has multiple STDs, and the end result is someone getting HIV.
The fact that so few people in this thread understand the disease or how it's contracted tells you everything you need to know about why it's spreading. People are ignorant and don't know what's going on. And dudes are NOT getting checked for STDs. Dudes out here just fukking anything that moves raw and don't know what they have.
Nobody's saying it's only a "gay disease" in the sense that only gays an get it, but the majority of people who get it are gay men & Black women because it's hard for straight men to get it from sex unless as you said they have genital ulcers or something
Then the bisexual population is humongous enough to have thousands of people who never considered themselves to be gay or bisexual before all of a sudden turn bisexual when put in a place where there are no women.
