Keep It Thoro was a monster record back then. Not on the charts, but everyone into hip hop played that muhfukka.

over the years, "Genesis" (the track that influenced Clams Casino's sound) and especially "Cant Complain" have stuck with me. "Never Feel The Pain" are "YBE" are nice cuts too.

Time Flies. Remember it like it was yesterday. Mobb was coming off a back to back to back run with "Infamous, Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik". Then news came that P was dropping a solo. "Keep it Thoro" blazed the streets something crazy. ALC really just hit all the notes on this album. Havoc only did a few beats but both were hard. P preformance on the album was very solid. From those hard lyrics to even introspective ones. He even did his thing behind the boards The features worked with Nore, Cormega, Mobb Regulars Noyd and Twin and even B.G. When Havoc showed up it felt like Mobb all over. It's amazing, it was a P solo but kept the elements that made Mobb Deep ILL.

My joints are "Can't Feel My Pain", "Three", "H.N.I.C.",, "Keep it Thoro", "Wannabe Thugs", "Who U Rep", "Can't Complain" just the whole album. Sadly the sequels didn't live up but "H.N.I.C. Pt. 2" still had bangers. "H.N.I.C. Pt 3" was weakest of the three. But this album not only is vintage Mobb but Prodigy proved himself to be one of the 90's best emcees. This song didn't make the album but it was definitely recorded in this era. Tony Touch got the track and ALC Produced it on his "Peace Maker" LP which dropped about 6 months before. Overall love the album, aged great.

"I'm only 26 playing with serious cars
That serious cash, luxurious laughs
Learn to balance pain with fame, you can't complain"

Just another day living in New York
Dealing with the jakes and the snakes
Feeling good today
We hear the *POP* but we here to stay

bruh, Clams Casino came up through Havoc. Look up "Always Have a Choice." Casino's sound is Mobb Deep + Wu-tang.

It's so weird on the Coli how people give me a hard time for loving Live.Love.ASAP. And I'm thinking: "do these guys not realize that a big part of ASAP Rocky's sound is basically Mobb Deep/Wu-tang but screwed?" :jbhmm: Why wouldn't I be blown away by that?

If you're a Havoc/RZA/Timbaland fan, it's borderline impossible to not fukk with Clams Casino. and Rocky by extension.

How do you know Clams was influenced by "Genesis?" Did he say it in an interview? I always loved the atmosphere of the "Genesis" beat and I think it was Prodigy produced or looped it. Makes sense that Clams would be inspired by it.
