Chances are, as a black man, at some point in his life he's complained, perhaps only to himself, that black women don't respect him...that black women aren't submissive, etc.
Patriarchy is a COLLECTIVE social contract that grants privileges to ALL black men, under the condition that they fulfill certain duties, one of which is protecting women. When black men fail to uphold our end of the 'bargain', we look like cowards. Simple.
You don't get to pick and choose which tenets to follow when you feel it benefits you.
Although lots of women hit their cheating men all of the time for cheating, he was wrong for doing that. But I don't feel too bad for her. It's difficult for me to feel bad for a cheater because I don't like cheaters. If he wanted to try to harm her for cheating, he should have done it by airing it out on social media instead of hitting her.She should have left him instead of cheating. & he should have just moved on instead of hitting her.
