Domestic violence is related to patriarchy because it's used to control women, to keep them in their place so to speak. Yes, women commit domestic violence too. They don't do it as often as men do though. Nor do they commit rape anywhere near the rate that men commit rape. We can post rape stats if you wanna argue about which sex commits more violence against the other.
Speaking of the Aurora shooting, there's a video featuring two of the heroes of that massacre. Two young black men with enough courage to help complete strangers*
. There's some evidence that black men (and women) are more valiant than others, so I won't hold it against you for being a scary ass. I suspect that black men on the whole are pretty brave, one of the few masculine qualities that we can measure up to currently.
