It's amazing how I have listened to people herald QBs that had complete squads around them and weren't asked to carry the team as winners for years and now all of a sudden the rules have changed for Russell. I dare somebody to name me the QBs that have had won multiple rings without thorough all-around squads. Now if dude was out there putting up 300/100 on the reg and missing the playoffs or getting bounced early it would be "Yeah he puts up great numbers but he's not a winner though"

So the biggest problem with the "elite" talk for Wilson is that he has never had to carry this team since he has been there for any length of time...the defense and the running game have always been either 1 and 2 and Wilson job has been to just not fukk it up...
Meanwhile I've watched some seriously flawed Packers teams since Rodgers took over at QB...I've watched entire seasons where the Packers defense was atrocious and their run game was atrocious and Rodgers dragged them to 10 wins and a playoff appearance anyway.
Meanwhile I've watched Tom Brady have receiving cores where every single player he was throwing the ball to had been cut by at least one team in the last 3 years...I've watched Brady play with an aging defense that was at best below average...and I've seen him drag them to 10 or 11 wins and a playoff win or two...
Meanwhile Drew Brees has multiple 5000 yard seasons, so you know the Saints are just chucking the shyt out the ball riding Drew Brees the entire game, the entire season...and they win 10 or 11 and make the playoffs...
And as much as people don't want to admit it...Tony Romo probably belongs in this group as well...the last two seasons before this Dallas defense was horrible and they just flat out didn't run the ball at all...hell last year Dallas had the worst defense they've had in franchise history while also running the ball at a mid to bottom 20 rate for both attempts AND yards...and Romo still dragged them to 8 wins...so that is how good Tony Romo is at being a QB...give him a historically bad defense...hardly ever run the ball...and when you do hardly ever pick up yards doing it...and you will still break even in the Win Loss column...
Wilson hasn't done any of the things the QB's I mentioned have...this dude has never had a bad running game...in fact he has only ever had a good to elite running game...this dude has never had a bad defense...in fact he has only ever had a good to elite defense...
So how is he elite when he never has to carry anything...isn't having more responsibility than everyone else a requirement for being elite? Isn't having your play have the biggest impact on the game a requirement for being elite? Isn't having the biggest moments of a game fall on your shoulders more often than not a requirement for being elite?
The only window I've seen since Wilson got their where he was the one who had to carry them was early this year when they weren't running the ball (Lynch was still running it very well but they were just not giving it to him enough for reasons that should be clear to anyone with common sense) and the defense was not elite...still good but not as good as last year...
What did Baby Hair do in that span?
