Overwatch also has purchaseable RNG lootboxes which imo is the most disgusting practice in the video game industry. They're legalized gambling in a game rated T for Teen. Only thing worse is RNG lootboxes with weapon/character upgrades in them. I don't know exactly what games do that since I don't play online competitive much but I'm sure there are games that do that.

Splatoon had free maps and its sequel will as well. It's not that uncommon.

Also...Activision, yes they are just like UBISOFT. They will push as long as they can. Expect a future COD to come out with MW2 remastered...forcing you to buy both

Then once they realize they can't squeeze anymore out of the loyal fans, release MW2 standalone

Then release a "GOLD" edition sometime down the line with an exclusive gun/skin or cosmetic BS
