Just Blaze is from Jersey (where House music is huge) so I don't see how this could be a peculiar route for him to take. Also, I think some of ya'll mix up house music with techno. When I think of house music, these come to mind.

besides he's a music producer, a successful one at that...producers are allowed to experiment and broaden their musical range. There isnt a rule that says he has to produce rap music, because he made his career off rap. If anything producers should be encouraged to get out their comfort zone.
