It has been an incredibly sad week for professional fighting.


After Muhammed Ali passed away at age 74 just a few days ago, the world has lost another. Former boxer and MMA legend Kimbo Slice has tragically died at age 42.

Slice was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons near his home in South Florida earlier today; however, there was no details provided about the reason behind the hospitalization, although the situation was described as "dire". His MMA team, American Top Team, confirmed his death.


Reports say that his death was caused by heart failure.

• In professional competition, Slice was a perfect 7-0 as a boxer, with a whopping six of those wins coming by knockout. However, he was most prominently known for his time in the octagon, where he went 5-2-1 with three knockouts.

R.I.P Kimbo, you will be dearly missed.
