Until I watched the a doc on Netflix called Twenty Feet from Stardom, I never knew background singing is an entire world of its own.
The majority of background singers prefer to stay in the background, like Lisa Stansfield. Some singers steal others background singers while a small few of these background singers go on to become stars themselves.
That was a really good doc.
