i saw a thread on this song recently but didnt think it would go anywhere. It sounded like a joke and a satire kinda like Coco. Why do we have no standards. This constant glamorization of ignorance is disturbing. And even more disturbing is that no one seems to care. This song about drugs is now the latest release of poison directed at the black youth

its waaaay more deep seeded than that. Thats what yall arent getting. NOBODY is saying that rap is the SOLE CAUSE of the black plight. Nobody is saying rapis making people shoot each other or sell drugs. Our problems existed waaaay before rap was created. What im constantly saying is this music is playing a role in the high level of self-hate in the black community. This filth is partly causing us to subconsiously hate, fear and distrust ourselves. It encourages and glamourizes ignorance and an overall destructive lifestyle SPECIFICALLY to the black youth. I dont see how you're not seeing this.

the lack of visibility for different black american culture groups is a problem when this is the most visible one but why you think the solution is to constantly attack the one instead of just trying to promote another one is what I don't get
young adults love shyt like this, adults love shyt like this, there will always be a place for it, it will always be there
it would be more productive to promote a black youth media movement instead of posting angrily about adult entertainment because it trickles down to kids
trying to get a group you like being recognized would be easier than getting other people to ignore or not like a group you hate

I get what you are saying but both are equally important. You are right, positive, uplifting messages must be promoted more also BUT that is getting harder and harder to do because this music and sound is overwhelmingly winning the fight. The hiphop culture has damn near BECOME black culture. Ignorance is getting celebrated more and more in the black community. Education and being a "regular" black man or woman is seen as "lame" and "corny". The "trap" sound is dominating everything. Hell, R&B is dead because of hiphop. Mary Mary just released a gospel song over a trap beat. You say young adults and adults love the shyt. That may be true to a certain extent. I like some of it. But the shyt is being PURPOSELY forced on us!! We all know the skin color of who REALLY runs these record labels. THOSE people are dictating whats going into the minds of the black youth. and 99% of that is black on black violence, drug use/selling, extreme materialism, promiscuity, gang/prison lifestyle and the disrespect of black women. WHY IS THIS?? Its NOT merely a coincidence!! We literally have no choice but to "love shyt like this"!!!! Why are we not seeing whats right in front of us. Media Propaganda is being effectively used against us in which rap is included.

But the content mayne Do we not care about the content thats going into the minds of the black youth?? Songs like this, Coco and Ushers' I Dont Mind belong nowhere near mainstream radio. Catchy music and destructive music are 2 different things. This is just flat out destructive
