I liked the Gantz movies, might be unpopular opinion but I thought they ended better than the anime and manga. The CGI movie was good too.

Death Note getting a live action redo as well but this time as TV series and Stranger Things showrunners are producing it.

i'm going to say no to most anime, they be choosing the wrong shyt to turn into live action.
Bebop maybe if HBO did it with a massive budget, and they did the casting right. Casting Harold from harold and kumar was some fukery

Usopp is supposed to be black so no issue there I think.

Only issue is the whole thing looks low budget like they filmed the thing on a tiny set and had to fill the rest with cgi

You seem to be right. Oda implied he would be from "Africa" if he was from real life so not necessarily black : SBS Volume 56

Myself I always assumed he was black, same with Kuzan.

No company is going to do a better job unless they HAND 100% CREATIVE CONTROL OVER TO THE JAPANESE ARTISTS WHO CREATED THE ORIGINALS.

I’ve been saying it for years. American creatives do NOT have what it takes culturally to make live action adaptations of anime/manga properties. Netflix/HBO/Hulu or whoever the fukk are going to have to invest in a Japanese studio where they allow Shinchiro Wantanabe, Eiichiro Oda, Noriyuki Abe, Akira Toriyama, etc to be the LEAD directors or executive producers of their own adaptations.

Look at the Ruroni Kenshin live action movies. They’re excellent adaptations, and thats because they weren’t corrupted by American studios
