However, although I know this wasn't his idea, his team is smart to give him stories outside his formula, but still authentic to his style, like this

You ask five people off the street you'll get HBO 4 four times outta five, especially if it's a premium network comparison.

I don't like 50 but I don't begrudge him these successes, especially since it might spur other artists to branch out this way and we get more black media.

What does 50 cent actually contribute to these shows? He isn't writing acting or directing. Also he's not financing their production. Sounds like maybe he's pitching show premises at most.
