An no, checking for subliminals from Pop stars was never my thing. This wasn't Hip Hop and nothing would've came from it anyway because its not like the artist is going to be like "yeah I was talking about so and so". Pop stars stir the pot and let people speculate.

Probably because most of those beats were submitted to MJ for the album he dropped in 2001 but were turned down because of him wanting more "Superthug" type beats from Pharrell.
That’s an opinion. But you said no one outside of Prince’s generation should diss him, and I agree, with, what I assume was an unstated but obvious caveat, that if Prince were to diss a younger artist first, they, of course, could fire back.
You aren’t arguing that JT was wrong to diss Prince, if Prince had taken shots first right? Assume for this discussion that Prince unequivocally dissed JT.

I said it would be ridiculous for someone that wasn't a peer to Prince to diss him as in someone as accomplished as Prince. This is especially since Justin himself admitted that songs on Futuresex/Lovesounds, including the album title, were inspired and influenced by Prince.
"Give It To Me" is nothing more than three of them talking trash. Timbaland is the only one who confirmed he was actually going at someone and that someone was Scott Storch.

Of course he could respond. I never said he would be wrong for doing so if he felt dissed. I was referring to the lines that had to do with sales and chart success as a ridiculous rebuttal to Prince.
