yeah i was gonna say the fao schwarz thing, but when i did my googles they sill had some regular degular toys in there.... i think it was 80s/early 90s when they didn't, i believe toys r us ended up buying the NYC location
they didn’t. it was really upscale back then. I remembered the store on michigan ave in Chicago. they catered to the gold coast crowd. they closed like in 2000. the original NYC location closed too, I’m assuming, like Chicago, they catered to the upper east side. they reopened though at another location and that’s when they start selling regular shyt.
