Ever wonder why it seems to be just white Christian families who are mainly into this?
I mean, it takes time and one of the parents, usually the mother, has to be the teacher. They may not get the best education, but it is a way to avoid exposure to being taught things that parents don't agree with. Can be anything.
Now, with that being said, do you wonder why more black families aren't doing this?

I don't know but my little cousin in Vegas was home schooled for 2 or 3 years because our grandmother had it out with the teachers plus he had a hard time paying attention in school. Home school turned out to be a nightmare because he was about to fail 7th grade math until grandma called me to help him pass the class at the last minute.

The hardest part was getting back into regular school. The social adjustment. He entered 9th grade last year wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-Shirt on the first day of school and couldn't understand why he was getting clowned.

Kids need to be around other kids because that's how they learn the best. That's why that preschool-kindergarten stage is critical. Kids gain social skills from school. Being sheltered is never a good thing.
