I’m thinking about getting some refurb/recertified hard drives? Anyone have any experience with them?

i have 3 of them. aside from noise, i have no issues with them, still going strong.

I have a few as well
since 2016 - only had to replace one
(and that was my fault, I had the NAS in a spot with little circulation and it overheated)
But i had a Raid 10 setup on that unit (with a profile backup) , so it was a simple hot swap and I was back up and running.

So I'm running Pfsense and I want to follow this HAProxy guide to setup a reverse proxy for Plex. But apparently using Cloudflare with it is a violation of the terms of service. So, what do I use instead?

Yea sucks. But since I have lifetime I’ll probably just spin up a jellyfish lxc for my remote play.

Both have pros and cons. I use Plex and InFuse. But aside also run Emby.

Did / do you have a paid version of Plex? I bought my (lifetime) license around 2012, it was cheap at the time. During the pandemic I bought an Emby (lifetime) license. My Infuse (lifetime) license I bought in 2016, it was cheap at the time. Emby on the Nvida Shield Pro is a good experience.

Infuse has more nice professional features (I use to have a Kef-Denon setup, recently I purchased the Sony Quad SW5-sub setup).

For the AppleTV as a client this is the best media player.

Aight I need help, I’m planning on buying an Apple TV 4K, do I need to cop plex and infuse to watch free movies and tvs with great quality? I’m lost

Plex does have free movies, inFuse doesn’t. You can plug (implement) Plex into infuse this will show the content (movies) on infuse.

There is also another open, but you will have to use it over VPN. There IP-TV.

Tubi is completely free. Don’t know if there is an app for it, but you can side load it.

Tubi is the largest free movie and TV streaming service in the US. We are not available in Europe due to changes in EU laws.
