Homelessness: How far removed are you?

if shyt went tragically downhill for me, i'm prolly a solid 7 couches away from it. Thats 7 people who i know i could call on to help me out till i got my shyt right. This got me thinking how do ppl end up flat out homeless tho? Might be naivety on my part but how does this shyt happen?

I have too much family around me to be homeless if it came to that.

And then I have family in DR that I could go live with if REALLY necessary.
shyt, with like 3 grand I could live comfortably in DR for like 10 months.

I got a phobia about this. I'm heading in the opposite direction as much as possible. Drives my work ethic.

Not everyone has a family to fall back on, people lose there job, can't pay the rent and get the treatment from the landlord and well...


Also mental illness is another reason.


Its crazy that Homeless people even bother to continue living, if you're out on the street there isn't much to look forward to life.. its crazy established people commit that over someone breaking up with them but homeless people who have no hope of getting in a relationship or someone to voluntary have sex with them keep on pushing

About 6. My grandma, moms, sister, brother and two of my aunts.

There are plenty of ways to end up homeless though. Once it happens those 7 couches of yours would prolly realistically drop down to two and those might only be for a night or two.

yeah its gotta be a series of unforunate events that leads to homelessness. i got family i cant stand but if they needed help, i got em. the mental illness aspect is also a great point.

In a sense homelessness might be fun..beg in every country for plane tix and travel around the world with a big back pack..I dunno..sounds kinda cool,,better than working for the man everyday..

its hard to grasp but u right. if i lost friends/fam in that 7 all of sudden my options are decreased.

The thing that fukks most people up is they aren't prepared for the rejection. People coming up with excuses why the timing isn't right or not enough space. Which is fine if it's true but sure it'd fukk you up.

And not being prepared you don't realize just how shyt stacks up and then eventually against someone who doesn't have a place to lay their head. Throw in a couple kids and shyt can get even worse. Especially emotionally.
