The best security system is having properly working doors and windows.
I used to work for ADT.
Can't tell you how many times I did installs where someone's back door moulding was fukked up, therefore it's nothing far someone to stick a butter knife or pocket knife in while pushing or pulling against it and then waltz right in.
Cant tell you how many people were too lazy to fix a door or a window and was like "Yeah it don't close right but I want you to put a sensor on it so when it open, I'll know."
"Oh they coming go fix it next week, just out the sensor on they'll reinstall it...."
Every time the wind blows, their alarm went off. Everytime it rained and the wood would swell up, their shyt would go off.
Unless someone knows you have something people ain't picking locks. They aren't kicking in doors, they aren't breaking windows. When your dumb ass falls asleep with the garage door open, or leaves your shyt unlocked, either purposefully or accidently, it's an invitation.
They really do sell a piece on mind, but if you lock up properly you'll be aight.

No need to buy a Ring. You can get a Doorbell camera with the chime on eBay for less than 60. Cop the batteries, which are rechargeable and a 32 gb SD card and u set .
Same technology at half the price .Never looked back since then .

watch what u do in front of ring, they've been known to leak footage to cops, fukk uploading ur security footage to the cloud in general
i use unifi, you need to have a server on ur home network already tho

Simpli safe offer professional installation and their equipment is one of the cheapest in the industry. I priced them for my new home and was saving over 1k vs ADT. Also if you work for a corporation you might be able to get an additional discount. My total discount was around 40% off. Can’t wait to throw adt in the bushes.
yea I did the same a few years ago went with ring actually, very happy so far pay a little over $100 a year
