Every other racial/ethnic group isn't cool with homosexuality either, so the fact that black folks are always labelled/portrayed as the most Homophobic group has always been a racist agenda.

I will add this tough ...I was pretty much politically neutral on the subject. The thing that really changed the dynamic between African Americans and "gays" happened after prop 8 failed in California.
After that they started...

1. Blaming AAs for prop 8's failure.
2. Calling African Americans homophobic.
3. An overly aggressive campaign to change the "hearts & minds" of AAs to be accepting of homo politics.

(This is when they started using dumb shyt tactics comparing lbgt agenda to the civil rights movement ...which really rubbed folks raw.)

I trace it back to that point as well. There were zero fukks given about African Americans in that regard until that California decision. After the gays political agenda & aspirations were temparaily squelched they...
1st identify the black community as anti-gay in news and academia
2nd begin a push to persuade us to their cause(this is when the whole sympathy seeking comparison of gays to the black struggle started ...which upset a lot of people)



I call bullshyt because if anyone goes back to that prop 8 case it was white Christians who went into the black community riling everyone up. Black folks ain't sitting around watching what laws are being enacted(if that was the case we would have caught all the "stand your ground" laws being passed) This is also why I call bullshyt on the whole Uganda thing. Those people have more things going on then to worry about chasing down gays. It's those white christens again riling the local populous up.

To put it simply, white people are having a "culture war" and we get caught up in all their bullshyt. Why? Because white people (as a collective) can't just say "hey this is what i'm doing over here. you do you overthere". We also have to take into account that the assumption has been "black people will sympathize with our position & aspirations because they have delt with oppression in america"

it's definitely something that eventually needs to be addressed in our community but it's not front page urgent stuff IMO

The majority of us are financially unstable and completely ignorant of science.... (something like 85 percent of black americans identify as religious and believe all the magical things in the bible are literal fact, lack of scientific way of thinking is putting us behind the Chinese and other ethnicities who are teaching their kids actual history/science and not some made up Wakanda BS aka The Bible/Quran)

People wonder where is the black silicon valley, you're throwing a wrench in that concept at an early age and you promote bullsh1t myths instead of inserting critical thinking skills into those minds.

This my main point too. We have much bigger issues in the black community that need to be solved first. Unless their downlow and not telling women the deal and having unprotected sex.
