06 Accord 4 cylinder. No timing belt, but timing chain. 235,000 and still going strong. Regular maintenance and tires. Talleyed up all that I have spent in the last 10 years, and it came out to just over $2,000. The biggest problems I have had with it was the solenoid valve and pedal sensor. Both cost no more than 160 each. Its a great car that is built to run a very long time.

Damn Breh how did you learn all of that :lupe: I'm at 82kmiles and I've been reading up on stuff like that to see when I'm supposed to change my timing belt and shyt bought my civic at about 62k milles 2 years ago.
Last year I got ganked at the dealer to change my front brake pads with some other bullshyt all cost me about 991.83$
The week I went to NY after this my cousin told me he could've done my break pads for me for way cheaper :sadcam:. I know now that I can do it too so I'll probably do my rear ones as well.
My pops. He used to have a body shop and always worked on his own cars so I been around that type of shyt all my life. I found a guide on a forum and followed the steps and it wasn't hard at all.

Get an estimate from repairpal.com to find a fair price. Getting your timing belt and water pump replaced can be expensive, glad I don't have to worry about that anymore with a chain. That was the most expensive maintenance I had to worry about on my Accord. Besides that, the other stuff should be relatively cheap.
First time I replaced my brake pads myself, I felt silly for ever paying so much to have someone else do it. Think it cost me a grand total of about $70 for front and back and about an hour. Youtube can save you alot of money.

If that 600 includes parts and labor, that is a little high but not as high as some are making it out to be. Remember the part is cheap but it is labor intensive.

I came up, made friends with a mechanic from our local Honda dealership, asked him about some sidework (timing belt, water pump, new header), he gave me some good pricing at half of what the dealer would charge.
