This. Same problem Bron had his first few seasons (not as terrible obviously).

And also why a lot of Bigs have shytty shooting mechanics. They're taught to focus on the aspects they're most likely to excel at. When Shaq is bigger and stronger than everybody on the court and can get buckets just by existing, instructors hone in on that and worry about the shooting form later.

Crazy thing is there are nikkas sitting on there couch reading this thread who can shoot better than him. I watch some sixers games like I could take and make that shot but he just passes.

Guys like Bron and Giannis can still make shots even though there not good shooters. Ben Simmons gets left wide open 8 feet from the basket on purspose and passes to somebody else.

Can we not compare LeBron to Giannis and Ben Simmons

LeBron was never a non-shooter. Those guys are complete non shooters. He was a streaky shooter and always had tough shot making ability. He was willing to take perimeter shots.

It gets mental too, there were some clips I saw last year on Insta where he was hitting 3s at practice with no problem. Shooting is also a lot about confidence, and that's maybe even harder to get than good mechanics.

Cats don't realize what being even an 'average' shooter at an NBA level really is. These cats hitting 33% from 3 in the game are in the gym hitting 60% of their practice 3s. I been to college games and watched 'bad' shooters just flaming from 3 warming up. It's all about confidence and being able to hit those shots in a game, when tired, with 20k in the stands and 200k at home watching

Lonzo shot the college 3 pretty well. 41% in college.

Simmons shot well from the field.
Imo, I think Simmons lack of green light trigger was to basically give him an opportunity to be a pg first and not be moved because of the NBA and ita current ability to play players to their natural strengths.

Imo, I just think him not having a green light from the field is all apart of the Philly admin the process. Just like the whole Fultz is injured situation. It is all a work. If you watch Philly that team is made so a young player can not be domineering to vets with skills. Umo, this is all part of the work/process.
This whole Ben Simmons shooting thing is a work.
