Austin's heel theme songs were fukking gold
In retrospect it wasn't as bad as people initially though especially when you compare it to the current product. Didn't really get interesting until they put WWE guys in the forefront (Austin/Rock/Angle/Jericho). We wrestling fans will always cry about the WCW guys they didn't bring in early but it is what it is.

to death. But here is three quick reasons that I haven't seen
1) Too many McMahons involved
2) They should have had RVD break away earlier. He was over as fukk (even more then Angle at that time) A proper feud with Austin would have been awesome.
3) Austin himself. His character was really ridiculous and over the top at times. I thought his heel turn after 17 and the alliance with HHH was great. But they turned him into this goof with the alliance, running from guys like Angle. I didn't think he could pull off character changes like the Rock did and his career never recovered from it.

Sorry, but it was worse. Seriously, the biggest dream angle ever was totally ruined by Vince and his stooges Ego's wanting to truly piss on the legacy of WCW.
How the fukk you gonna take a Promotion vs. Promotion angle and make it more about the McMahon's than the actual wrestlers.. and on top of that make the top heel of the WCW promotion the guy who save the WWE from going under.

You can say that about any big angle in the E. The Mcmahon's show up and spike ratings for a week or two but have never been long term draws when they are the absolute main focus of something. But it's their company they do what they want

Some parts were fun to watch..but the poll deal when Vince was in the ring and the crowd erupted for certain names(Sting, Goldberg) pretty much was the glass ceiling of the whole ordeal. Fans turned on Booker immediately after his Buff Bagwell disaster....Steiner was sitting on his contract with everyone else and those little low carders didn't mean shyt except for a few that got over in the end like Hurricane.

If Hogan, Sting, and Golberg were there...everything would of been different. Fans would of had someone to side with against the WWF icons. You can try to paint Sting as a heel all you want but fans were never gonna boo him in 2001 no matter the circumstances.
