Black music needs a makeover. We need to go back to playing instruments and becoming real musicians and playing in bands and writing songs that really mean somthing. Until then black music won't be taken serious and people with no real talent will be at the forefront of this thing. We as the consumer need to stop accepting these average fly by night artists jus cuz their thrown in our faces all day and night on radio all day and night. Start expecting more out of black music stop accepting bullsh1t. Simple as that but n1kkas who keep saying black music is fine have no clue

You losers letting white people's views on our music have so much power over you are fukking pathetic.

Black music is just fine. Of course the black music cacs try to force down our throats through the mainstream will be diluted in quality. The fukk you expect? For them to care about the substance and quality of OUR music? That's OUR job you fukking fools. They're job is to make money off exploiting the shallowest, emptiest, simplest forms of our music to make money and to reinforce the false agenda that we aren't shyt but c00ns and sideshow monkeys.

Just because the artist who are deep in the mainstream like Rihanna, Trey Songz and Beyonce might suck doesn't mean there aren't a plethora of lesser known EXCELLENT black artists.

Check out Robert Glasper, Rochelle Jordan, Vikter Duplaix, Lianne La Havas, etc, etc, et-fukking-c

The Booth fukking sucks. I'm out.

*leaves thread and goes to listen to Rochelle Jordan's newest album 'Pressure'*

Real talk :whoo:

We need to get back to not caring about the Grammys, and thinking for ourselves.

If robert johnson never sold his soul to the devil we wouldn't have the blues, which means there's no r&b, which means there's no funk, which means there's no hiphop :sadcam:

give credit where credit is due :troll:

The music didnt flow from one man stop it. He was influential but not the beginning. R&B was a collective effort. Lets not promote the devil because ultimately, he hates your guts, yet you love him.
