I'll see if I can find it online somewhere.

That's what I was hearing on BBC when I woke up. Sounds like typical agent provocateurs.

What change? They just want pro cac asians in office instead of pro chinese :mjlol:
Nah bruh thats a GROSS oversimplification.

When they hk was turned over from the british to the chinese part of tbe deal was 1 nation 2 systems meaning hk would have its own currency, laws, leaders and elections.

The obvious control from Beijing has caused a DRASTIC change in the landscape for HK people. They are now being openly denied the right to vote for candidates that go against pro-mainland policies that will make this shift so much worse for everything from owning property to getting hospital care and spots in public schools.

Its a gross overreach of power and people are trying to stop it at this point before it gets worse.

Policies that benefit cacs more then china.

Cacs just want an independent nation they can do business with and give them a foot in china's backdoor.

We've seen this game a million times but y'all act brand new every time it happens like it's going to be different this time.

We know the m.o

This isn't true.

China isn't letting them have their own autonomy.

Elections are held every 5 years and since 97 what china does is let a graduate increase in the number of representation they have inch up...its just stupid. So the first year was like 400...then its like 800...now 1200...and thats supposed to represent 7 million???

This is less about being "pro-west"

Stop thinking everything is about the "west" for once. The world is more complex than that and regions have their own local issues.

No its not that complex. Big bank take little bank. Do cacs have interests in Hong Kong winning, yes. Why does Hong Kong even exist? Because of cac drug dealers. Stop it.
