I like the feature as well. I was under the assumption that most thots don't even know how to turn that feature on cuz a lot of people have asked me how I get my phone to light up on alerts.
My Samsung doesn't have a sound notification...so...I use my led to notify me of incoming text messages.
That is strange, you should have sound notification on your phone. What phone do you have?
I thought so too...or I don't know what I'm doing. It's a Galaxy Core Prime.
If you go into your text messaging app, then into settings, you will find the sound notification setting, you can pick from that list to play when you get a message.
