All these restaurants going out of business. TGI Fridays, Chili's, Apple bees, Red Lobster.

Non-coincidentally, every single one of them had private equity firms buy majority stakes or even the entire enterprise before they got shytty. It's by design.

These private equity firms are hoping to reduce quality before the consumer realizes their favorite restaurant is under new management.

At this point the general public should all be watching the mergers and acquisitions news of the restaurants we like . If everyone stopped eating at these places the minute that they were bought by these bankers, then the practice of them gutting restaurants would stop. It would be poison to billionaires' portfolio.

Damn so none of yall watched the video. :heh:

Basically Hooters is run by two groups. The founder owns and runs 24 restaurants. The rest are owned by Private equity.

The founders’ restaurants keep the classic Hooters look and feel, but the PE owned restaurants try a bunch of gimmicky ideas like making the girls shorts extra short. They cut corners by using cheaper ingredients.

PE owned restaurants lose money. The founder owned restaurants are profitable.

So the story is a juxtaposition of businesses run by founders who know the brand and care about the business vs businesses owned and run by soulless PE ghouls.

The Truth
Even if, by some miracle, they did have ass...that 80s era unfirm with them leggings and socks ain't it :hhh:
Tbh I always thought Hooters was wack as fukk and I think Twin Peaks is the same now.

Even with watching fights (only time I even go is when coworkers invite me to watch the fights) the place is unimpressive.

And idc about watching young bony thots walk around with skimpy outfits, bad attitudes, and shytty food.

Dumb take, because Twin Peaks is private equity La Cima group.
Hooters just stopped evolving and for some reason wanted to transition into a family PC brand and it killed them.
300m in loses and probably won't survive the coming restaurant apocalypse, where Red Lobster, Cracker Barrel, and others are going to die.

Red Lobster is having a bit of a comeback thanks to their current CEO
