I feel that even if the fight does get made now, it's going to be on some too little too late shyt.
It's funny because I think Kovalev beatsbut Kovalev is the easier fight for BHop by far. Goes to show why triangle theories don't mean shyt in boxing.

Found it interesting how fight night shape Kovalev was still much bigger looking than B-Hop. I know B-Hop is small at 175, but Kovalev will have a huge size advantage.
This fight is going to make for real interesting discussion and predictions. Kovalev absolutely looks like B-Hop's boxing skills will trouble and frustrate him. Even if Kovalev get schooled boxing wise, I still believe he lands punches sometimes...and that power!

Yeah I won't front like I wouldn't be excited if it does happen but could you imagine had this happened when nikkas were clamoring for it.
I don't care too much about ppv buys but that fight would have did at least 3 mill.

Seems like a lot of people commented that Kovalev looked shook. I didn't see that.
I saw a guy who we may see enter the ring nervous of the moment. Bernard's boxing skills may frustrate Kovalev and his endurance may be tested. What I think may be Hopkins biggest advantage is that he has been through big career defining fights for decades. This is Kovalev's first shot. I will not be surprised at all if Kovalev isn't ready for the hype, press, and atmosphere that night.
Bernard will probably present some technical problems, but I don't think he does anything that can hurt Kovalev. What he can do is make Kovalev nervous of the moment.

You throw some shots at dude and he backs straight up getting caught flush or by the end of the punch. Agnew was able to land that way and Caparello even dropped him because of it. Sergey can only fight one way and that's coming forward. It's not like he's coming in with some high guard or moving his head. Dude just comes in with his hands semi low and wings heavy shots.
If Kovalev would have fought someone that could handle his power a bit and actually try an win instead of bytching up as soon as they get hit, then I would feel better about him destroying Hopkins.
I can't stand Hopkins and laugh hysterically anytime he loses, but I don't see him losing to a guy like Kovalev who has such an obvious flaw. nikka never even tries to counter punch.

The fact that I can hate on dude and still respect his skills and accomplishments should be the only thing that really matters.

Hopkins is going to be stepping in extra hard when he throws that right hand at Kovalev and then he's gonna get dude off balance with it and finish with inside left hooks. Pivot or circle out of danger and repeat. Ain't like Kovalev is going to counter him. Dude never throws them.
