breh Eminem . . Slim Shady LP is a masterpiece . . not a hip-hop classic but a piece of music that represents a time and place that can never be replicated. His style was dope then and it's not even the super lyrically intricate stuff he's on now. It was his style - 'simple Eminem' > intricate Eminem

Album is dated AF breh, sure his skills in terms of just pure rapping were quite impressive but what good are those skills when you can't make a decent song to save your life. You just hate Eminem . . hate everything else about him, but hate on that album is obviously based on personal bias. You don't see what it represents
Breh the hate is justified, if he dropped more songs like Rock Bottom, If I had and 8 Mile he'd be somewhere in my top 20 or so but this dudes catalogue is filled with 90% corny trash and some people still have the nerve to call him top 5 let alone the GOAT

What you just said proves how the album ain't a masterpiece, the album lacks any form of REPLAY VALUE, if it was a true classic the album should still sound fresh regardless when it dropped. If I wanted to listen to an album like SSLP I'd rather hear Redman's first three albums now those three albums are true classics.
The top 5 thing is another reason why I despise Em and his fans even though majority of Em fans are cacs who don't fukk with hip-hop at all.

I listened to SSLP recently. It's still a great album
Yea the production and overall sound is dated, but in a good way. It feels gritty. the album holds up well. just as much if not better than damn near any popular rap music from the late 90s
