I played kind of passive and usually got "local advantages" aka 2 v 1s and got to 7 first. Some units to attacks in lines, that's also very useful. Also you need to use the overcharge skill to get to 7 before your opponent.

Ended up caving in and buying this on the PS4 when I bought Monark. The upgrade was weird it required a second purchase for $0.00 that was labeled PS4/PS5. Now for a 2 hour download.
