Signed up for the beta. Not really interested in it but I'll give it a few rounds to see what it's about. They could have spent this time just working on Horizon 3. Of all the GAAS I can't believe this one stuck around and the The Last of Us one was canned

anyway, so this is their play for Netflix and the LEGO crowd they tried to pull in huh?

I like the framerate tho. Seems to be pretty polished. I’m a big fan of Horizon so I’ll give it a try but ain’t nobody trying to buy games like this. Now maybe it turns out like Monster Hunter, but I’m not holding out hope there’s enough depth and variety here. At least we have the other Korean game and Horizon 3 if this turns out mid.

Reading this thread you’d think Guerilla said fukk your mother. We got Horizon 3 otw probably PS6 launch. Actual Horizon Monster Hunter with the Koreans, and whatever the hell this is — Horizon Rivals that lets them do what they’ve always wanted to do. They softened the blow with announcing the MonHun game first.

You got a playtest this month probably be out end of the summer and we onto something new. Let’s be real.. most of yall just mad that Naughty Dog let Bungie punk them out of their own multiplayer game and Intergalactic has no release year.

Yeah the whole GAAS model is unsustainable. There literally isn't enough time in the world for people to be playing all these different multiplayer games at once. I'm not sure who they're chasing with this game. The folks that love Horizon will probably play it for a few weeks then drop it due to all the other releases coming out. The fortnite, Apex, COD, ARC raiders, crowd are all solidly locked into their ecosystems at this point. Then you still have Marathon on the horizon

It is what it is. Obviously Sony pushed for it. But it’s not stopping any of the other games we want from coming out so may as well let them do what they want.

I'll play it with my daughter on easy mode.

Let's be honest, it will probably do well on Steam. This isn't a game for the Coli but it is going to be a game for a lot of co-op heads out there.

And lol at everyone saying these games got greenlit by Hulst. 100% they were greenlit years before he came in by Ryan/Shu. They thought Horizon was going to be huge.

Not every GAAS needs to be a runaway success. You need games that get people back when there is a big update like Helldivers 2 or Mon Hun.
