Honest;ly the religious arguement is sound. And I’m vaccinated. It rests on the whole use of fetuses in vaccine testing processes. While it certainly wasn’t tested directly on them during COVID, all vaccines use fetuses during the research phase, some of which were aborted. That’s the difference between doing a transplant vs. taking a vaccine. Its not the intervention to save your life that’s an issue but rather the use of another life(or the remnants of it) that is controversial..The donor even claimed religious exemption too.
So getting the surgery for the transplant is ok by the good book but the vaccine is a deal breaker.

However, I highly doubt these people are genuine about this belief and are using it as pretext for their politics. I say this because we already know how morally fluid the white conservatives are when it comes to stuff like race.
Personally, i take the view that the fetuses were already dead and would be used elsewhere if not on me.
