Hot 97 has banned Tekashi 69 from Summer Jam

I addressed this to an earlier poster with the stats..

Again you guys are thinking of this in terms of personal how you feel. This is a business.. You need views, clicks, engagement. If you think Hot 97 plays music because they want folks to enjoy music you don't understand how it works. Just like TV stations don't have shows because they like showing programs. Music exists so you can stay tuned in to hear the commercials, TV shows solely exists so you can watch the commercials not the other way around.

It's about paying the bills. I personally can't stand AK but for the sake of business and getting an additional 1 million subscribers and 1 million followers to engage with my businesses helps me get more Ad revenue to keep the lights on. It's a business.


EDIT: This is exactly why more and more record labels are signing YouTube stars and listeners....because they are selling out tours and selling streams and downloads....the record companies get it ...

ironically those are easily hot 97's most relevant shows, both of them at least try to stay in touch with the young shyt poppin in the city
these morning show clowns have wayyy too much power. hot 97 beats out power 105 for every slot except the morning...
