It's night and day, and if I had to I would give the edge to Chappelle, but K&P had some serious acting skills.

Na that’s not a hot take. I been saying that for years.
Chappelle.... is and was hilarious.... but at the end of the day his skits was always Chappelle being Chappelle.
Key and Peele actually acted better and you can see where they disappeared and became the characters in the process bringing them to life

Key & Peele's problem is they don't know when to end a skit. They have a funny joke and then just let it drag and drag.

You and @Bryan Danielson make good points. Yeah I’m with that. Key and Peele have an ability to make me see the character and not them in certain sketches.
And in hindsight it’s obvious that Peele was going to be good at horror. They have some really dark material in some of their sketches. The Lil Homie, Shining, and the Jazzercise Championship sketches all come to mind.

not a hot take at all. just a matter of fact. k&p did improv and sketch comedy for so long that becoming characters and working with others came natural to them. dave was a pure standup comic who made a halfassed stoner movie
they excelled at the thing that got them in showbiz in the first place, and were weak on the thing they didnt really make their name in. k&p had weaker jokes, dave had weaker everything else

Neil Brannan and David Chappelle explained (During the DVD commentary) that the live blood
of the Chappelle show was adlibing.......They further explained SNL has a very strict ''No Adlibbing'' rule
Damon Wayans was fired from SNL because he adlibed during a skit.
Besides the fact that a lot of Chappelle's show was off the dome...I'll def give you K&P having better acting by far.
Imagine them working together lol, that could either be clumsy or fukking perfect. Like picture Chappelle's sketches with production value lol, K&P could loosen up a bit, have bits end on time and would be like 40% less corny without losing in roads to that goofy white demographic that loves Dave too.
