I skip it when listening to the album. Will sit and bop along with the video though. Its not a diss to call it the worst or amongst the worst songs on an album full of fire along with "The doggone girl is mine". I am just glad they didn't move forward with "Starlight" Whole album and shyt...music history would be different.

I’m not trying to act like I’m above anyone when I say this but…Anybody who is in to songwriting and music production would understand why Thriller is a great song.

On the surface it can sound kind of corny but from a technical standpoint it’s one of the greatest pop songs of all time. If not the greatest.

For anyone who is interested just go look up the YouTube videos of the people who were involved in the making of this song.

Rod Temperton, Quincy Jones and Michael crafted a masterpiece. Along with all the session musicians who contributed to the song. It took a village.

I’ve always thought it was overrated, and I agree about not playing it outside of the month of October. It’s like hearing All I Want For Christmas in July

Outside of Vincent Price's outro, it's a wack song with great production.

If we are being real, its the weakest song on the album. I can see why people like the song but to me, its overrated as a song. Its really okay.

I hit skip on Thriller on the album and it is the weakest song but it’s a fun song that will live on during this time of year.

As a huge Michael Jackson fan, It is my least favorite song on the album, does not mean it's a bad song. I like the song more for the impact it made for MJ's career more than the song itself


Baby Be Mine is easily the best song on the album, and probably a Top 5 song of all time

Because to me it’s a corny ,Halloween themed pop song .TBF I was introduced to it at least 15 years after it was released so no I wasn’t there and that probably impacts it…but apart from the video I never thought too much of it .. I can hear the instrumentation is good ,I know Mike is singing his ass off..but I’m just not trying to hear that shyt..

It’s not really a fatigue thing either because I can still listen to Human Nature,The Lady in my life and PYT and they still are amazing .

Another thing is I didn’t grow up in a Micheal Jackson house …my parents wasn’t really playing him ..They were more prince/funk/motown so I’m sure that has to be a factor in why as well .

I was listening to it again last night. If you don't start instinctively moving to this song, I don't know what to tell you. It became associated with Halloween, but that doesn't make it a Halloween song. We just naturally put anything that has horror/supernatural elements in the Halloween basket, like it can't be enjoyed any other time.

I can see why people enjoy it more for the video, because it's the GOAT video and it's what made the song blow up, but as an actual song, it's still great.
