-cousin gets shot in the back of head
-other cousin dies of lupus (he fell asleep didn't get to see her)
-got into a car accident (fell asleep at the wheel)
-his dog gets sick, vets almost accidentally put it down
-gets some type of stomach sickness, loses weight til he gets down to 116lb, has been hospitalized 7 times
-leaves hospital, has his closest friend (ike) do his IV / basic treatment
-Ike died two weeks ago
