I see a lot of cats posting what they hate about both ObamaCare and CaciCare, but I also see no one providing legitimate alternatives.

With the national debt as high as it is and the amount of people who are unemployed, disabled, sick, poor etc., no matter what health bill is put in place someone is going to get screwed.

So what are your solutions since we have so many financial geniuses on thecoli :yeshrug:
Universal health care.

Repealing all of the ACA’s taxes would give the top 1% of U.S. households an average tax cut of $33,000, or about 2.1% of their after-tax income. Those in the top 0.1% would score an average tax cut of about $197,000, or 2.6% of after-tax income. The top 1% includes households with incomes of $774,300 or more in 2016 dollars; the top 0.1% starts at $4.76 million. The cost of eliminating the tax subsidies and Medicaid expansion, however, would fall exclusively on the lower 40% of households.

“People who are lower income, older, or live in high premium areas would be particularly disadvantaged under the House Discussion Draft and Price bill relative to the ACA,” the foundation observed.

There isn't a single developed nation in the world with universal healthcare that isn't struggling to contain costs and suffering from overruns

I know this.

My response was to @Regular_P who seemed to think that universal healthcare in the U.S. is the long awaited messiah of healthcare woes.

If only more workers united and, i don't know, bargained, collectively, with their employers to provide them with healthcare as part of their compensation.

I wouldn't mind paying a membership fee every month if it meant knowing my group could fight for my rights and benefits.

From people I know who live in Canada, universal healthcare is not the creme de la creme everyone makes it out to be.

There isn't a single developed nation in the world with universal healthcare that isn't struggling to contain costs and suffering from overruns

None of those countries would give it up and we're still playing catch up. :bernieumad:

"But if she had a lapse in coverage longer than 63 days — perhaps she couldn’t afford a new plan between jobs — and went to the individual market later, insurers could charge her a 30 percent premium surcharge. She would need to pay that higher premium for a full year before returning to the standard rate."

- This is not a tax

- Insurers could opt NOT to do it.

- The mandate is gone.

You a$$holes need to stop feigning concern about shyt.
Why the fukk would insurers miss the opportunity to increase anyone's premium by 30%?

Mike Lee has released an official statement.

Lee Statement on American Health Care Act

“This is not the Obamacare repeal bill we’ve been waiting for. It is a missed opportunity and a step in the wrong direction,” Sen. Lee said.

“We promised the American people we would drain the swamp and end business as usual in Washington. This bill does not do that. We don’t know how many people would use this new tax credit, we don’t know how much it will cost, and we don’t know if this bill will make health care more affordable for Americans.”

“This is exactly the type of back-room dealing and rushed process that we criticized Democrats for and it is not what we promised the American people.”

“Let’s fulfill our Obamacare repeal promise immediately and then take our time and do reform right. Let’s pass the 2015 repeal bill that Republicans in both houses of Congress voted for and sent to the White House just 15 months ago. Once Obamacare has been properly sent to the dustbin of history then we can begin a deliberative, open, and honest process to reform our nation’s health care system.”

This crafty idiot. :mjlol:

"Let's not rush to replace Obamacare . . . but let's absolutely rush to repeal it and then take our sweet time in writing a replacement."

Smh. These cacs will take away a health care plan that works in order to spite black people but it's really refreshing to see how scared their fellow cacs are of getting their health care taken away. Welcome to what black people have been putting up with for many many years....Lee Atwater must be rolling over in his grave.
