My house appreciated 150k in 5yrs since I bought it. Wait till I finish the basement and put the deck with built in hot tub.
No. People can wait and buy a house when the market cools down or buy something cheaper or downsize.that’s why people say that a house isn’t really an investment. I mean you can pull equity out, but If you sell it, you still gotta pay for another place to live.

Sellers are listing their houses and demanding cash no contingencies and no inspections. Some are even selling sight unseen.

years ago I had planned on buying a house in a particular city. Figured when I’m ready the prices would stay relatively the same. The idea that it would go up didn’t really cross my mind. Fast forward a year later, prices went up 150k. I decided then and there come hell or high water I’m getting a house. Which I did. But it was further out from the city I originally wanted.
point is, folks talking about waiting around. It’s a risky game out there.

This is my issue. I'm feeling like I been on my grind here, done been unemployed, under-employed and after 15 years I finally make 6 figures and I ain't do all this to be living in Johnston county or an hour out city limits.
