House or Condo..If i could do it all over again

I had a crib and a condo.

Condo. I don't mind working on things around the house, but having to dedicate big chunks of my time to fix, clean, landscape or renovate certain things is annoying.

Plus some of the views you can have from a condo... sometimes I would just look at the lake, clouds, sunrise/sunset from my condo with a drink and some music going... one of the best feelings I've had in recent years.

The only advantage of a crib to me is more space and being able to customize it more. I'm generally not in the crib that long and I really don't host shyt, so I don't need a big place. 1200 square foot condo if its just me... 1800 square foot if I had a family or 2500 square foot house is all I need.

not bad at all. But thats a No for me, not having any nikka or brehhitto cutting my grass with both my wife and babymoms at the crib and im not there..no sir. If i was a grass cutter id be on demon time, outside with my shirt off staring at the wife like nah im joking but seriously, dont want any men working around my home when im not there.

nah, not trying to rent plus alot of town homes are one floor, mess around and have neighbors above you with roudy kids

I'd probably cop that condo...having to cut grass on saturday mornings ..wife and BM sipping coffee while staring at me through the blinds like . Having a home is cool but its a money pitt

I'd have one on the mower and the other with the weed eater, while I watch EPL.

Not sure which townhouses you are referencing but most townhouses are standalone units by themselves. You will have no neighbors above you.

second, if u don't wanna cut grass, hire someone or get a townhouse.

yea man...i be looking at nikkas thats check to check talking about they wanna own a home just because you might be able to cover that monthly mortgage is nothing, thats just the beginning especially if you have an older home. New roof gone hit u for $8-10k, having an electrician come out can hit you for a quick $1200, kids accidentally put a hole in the wall or ruin the carpet by spilling shyt thats $400 -$600 etc... I'm blessed that im not struggling financially but it would be nice to not have to worry about certain things

Condos u pay for the repairs as well… baked into the HOA…. And if too many things break down at the property, your HOA increases. Ppl pay at least $2400 a year in HOA assuming a $200 per month HOA

You pay either way… lawn services…are included in the HOA…. Or you can pay for lawn care with your own home…

I’d say condos are more convenient tho… homes appreciate more

Why would I buy a condo where it's cacs//pajeets/nikkahs in my face? I hate the idea of paying $300k for a property other people have access to, I need my own shyt.

A condo you don't have any privacy. You don't have your own pool. You can't grill/smoke when you want. You can't play music. You can't work on your car. You can't life weights.


You sound lazy, cutting grass with some music and cold brew is a good time.

I do not like cutting grass either, and I have a big back yard, plus a front yard. I cut the grass yesterday in 90 degree heat in less than 30 minutes. I just put on my airpods and knock it out.

I got a big front yard and back yard. Cutting grass and taking care of my shyt is a point of pride. I couldn’t imagine not having my own yard. I smoke blunts naked in my backyard

Any condo owners here? what made you choose a condo over a home?

Breh i work with has a condo, has a community center with a pool, gets his grass cut by his association, doesnt have to shovel snow in winter..etc

Here in Texas damn near everyone pays for the Mexicans to come cut their yard. 30 dollars every two weeks so 60 a month

I bought a townhome exactly for that reason. $120 HOA but you take care of the lawn for me? Bet. Don't have to worry about a roof, that's a shared resource so HOA. Anything that happens in between me and my neighbors walls, HOA. That saves a lot in maintenance right there.
