Hotpads.com but where I stay they are around 850 in 3rd ward by the light rail where all the gentrification is happening. My two bedroom was 860 when I moved here in 2013, my shyt has been raised to 1075 in 3 years. They're making sure nikkas can't afford to live here smfh

Its crazy. Third Ward was like Houston's Harlem at one point....just ride Dowling Street and you can tell. Now it has small black enterprise, but its literally on the cusp...not quite on the cusp, but the cusp is right there in the distance....of looking like gentrified Brooklyn if nothing changes. Why cant we solidify our inner city black neighborhoods....why does it take outsiders to come in an "spruce" it up, then kick out the black element.... I know the answer, it's just


What are we talking about again.....traffic? Traffic gone traffic. Glad I lived in Third Ward, cause any potential job opportunity, was usually only half the distance, since its in the middle of the metro. I know 2 guys with families that would drive from Pearland/Manvel area on the south up to the Woodlands in the north . 2 hour drive one way in rush hour traffic

You know they tore down Kings flea market....They're building new town homes and apts there now that are super nice, and they're building a new library right across the street from it too. Just go down Macgregor from 288 to Scott man the homes are nice as fukk.
