Plenty of peoples daughters/sons already graduate or don’t graduate and go into sex work of many different forms. Is it not the government’s job to protect those people from predatory practices? Legalization would help stop that.
Also people tend to go into sex work because they lack options or resources to improve their lives in a somewhat legal way. That’s entirely different conversation in itself.

That’s completely irrelevant to the conversation nor does it matter to what’s being discussed. We’re not talking about how I would feel, were talking about using government power to protect American citizens from being prayed upon by nefarious forces.
I’d feel pretty awful if my friend, or family member was murdered or had their life destroyed on the job because the government refused to get involved because “church says sex is bad and immoral”.

We need to get the identity and name if this person. He or she should be arrested for endangering a minor, sex trafficking, soliciting a minor or whatever. I volunteer at at juvenile detention facility and its crazy how vulnerable these children are who society abandons in one way or another.

Your personal feelings or religious beliefs don’t have anything to do with that. The second you start involving religion in decision making in a wide swath of peoples lives is when things get insanely problematic and leads to terrible outcomes like what’s literally going on the OP. it’s literally why separation of Church and state exist. A regulated and legalized sex work professional field dramatically reduces children finding their way into it. Period

If my family member decided to do that I’d prefer for their safety to be valued above all else. I don’t get a say in what they do with their lives.
