couldnt even last 20 seconds on this video. we need more fathers in the community. even if the kid aint yours and you see him fvckin up, just go and slap em upside the head. might be harsh but at least in 10 years in wont be twerking in a video like this
When the urban community accepted an openly gay/bi male artist it opened the floodgates for what we're now witnessing and will witness moving forward. Boy George and Culture Club made a lot of good records but if you rode around bumping that shyt post-gangsta rap you would be associated with that kind of sexuality yourself. It's not about the music, nikkas should've turned a deaf ear to Frank Ocean for agenda purposes alone no matter how much they liked his music.
There's a reason why Luther and Freddie Jackson stayed in the closet. They knew their fan base wouldn't accept them.

*sees the video posted on first page*
Take the L and keep it walking homie

yankee nikkas at its finest
After reading through nine pages of this thread, the only person who seems to really get it is @h2o_proof.
After a decade-plus of overt sexual images and language in mainstream urban music, when a dude who happens to be gay does the same thing because he's making the same genre of music, everybody wanna be outraged? He was raised in this culture probably long before he grew into his sexual preferences. He was raised on Back Dat Azz Up.
All you nikkas who are disgusted (including me)...this is the monster we all created. Slay the monster or watch it grow...
'preciate it fam, you and @Cabbage Patch and a few others seem to be the only people that are secure enough to have a mature convo about this shyt. After initially being in shock at the total fukkery I realized I was more disgusted with myself than I was with dude that made the song. We made this. It was broke a long time ago, we just never fixed it. Now it's manifested into something that makes us uncomfortable. I came to this conclusion about the misogyny in our music and the images we put to video a while ago, but it took this video for me to actually feel disgusted with how we make ourselves look as a culture sometimes.
It's also quite obvious from some of the posts that nikkas still got a long, long way to go when it comes to shedding insecurities. It's nikkas in this thread that probably thought they would catch the gay or accidentally get a hard on if they watched more than 9 seconds of the video lol. I'll admit, that shyt made me want to vomit, but after I thought about it and reminisced about several years ago when Tip Drill came out and we were all on SOHH talking about it, that shyt wasn't no better, it was just more accepted and nobody felt insecure talking about it.
Gangsta rap had to die out cause it made black folk all fukked up in the head and it damn near came to civil war. Hypermasculinity is fukked up and we need another Chuck D, not this shyt
Our community is fukked up because there hasn't been damage control since the days of the pro-black MC.
