:manny: you could say this about any team just about every year in the playoffs.

"X team only got this far because Important Player on Team Y got injured"

Yeah flukes happen every year. I am so tired of hearing about that 09 run as if it was anything more than great fortune. KG was hurt and the entire team was on fire for the whole series against the Cavs. You are right that there is a team each year that benefits from similar fortune each year. That's why this narrative that he carried them needs to die. It was just a lucky year. Just like a bunch of shyt went wrong last year, a bunch of shyt went right in 09.

Rockets were a playoff team last year. If Dwight is anywhere near the player he's purported to be they should be contending next year, period. He's all out of excuses. If these nikkas are fringe playoff team or first round fodder, barring any injuries, it's all on him.

I don't know why people are overrating Golden State for. Houston did break the 3 point record on them without Dwight. Not to mention GS struggles against guarding Dwight, he broke the most free throw attempts in a game on them. Imagine all the open looks the Rockets shooters will have with Dwight in the middle. Rockets would sweep GS!

Houston doesn't get much better getting Dwight. Assuming they move Asik, all Dwight really brings is finishing ability that Asik struggled with. The Rockets still have no bench, no PF and questions at PG :ld:

Kendrick Perkins also becomes relevant again. I don't see Houston beating OKC. I don't see Houston beating GS, LAC and maybe even SA & Memphis either :patrice:
